Maura and Curtis are one of only two couples from this year's Love Island who are still together, the other being Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague.

The grid girl told how the couple's relationship is going 'really well' and they both make time for each other despite their busy schedules.

She said: 'We spend time together. Some nights we just want to chill out in front of the TV, then other times we might go on a date night. It’s going really well actually.

'We’re both lucky. We’re very, very busy and the most important thing is we make time for each other. We do see each other, not as much as we hoped but we do see each other.'

Maura is one of several stars competing on next year's series of Dancing On Ice and is currently in rehearsals for the show.

Last year, fellow Love Island star Wes Nelson split up from girlfriend Megan Barton-Hanson amid claims he had grown close to his skating partner.

Maura insisted she isn't worried about a 'Dancing On Ice curse', although she admitted her dance partner will have to be someone she has 'chemistry' with to ensure they pull off a good performance.

The model added that she hopes to win the show although is finding learning to skate harder than she expected.

Following the deaths of former Love Islanders Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon, there was increased scrutiny on the show's duty of care to its contestants after they leave the villa.

Maura said she was 'overwhelmed' after leaving the villa to her newfound fame but said the producers have been amazing since she left the show and they still call her regularly to check in.

Meanwhile, on a recent edition of Lorraine, Curtis revealed the couple are stronger together because they allow each other space.

He explained: 'We wanted it to become a real relationship, because obviously in the villa... I don't wanna say it's not real, but it's a different world. It's a bubble.

'Things are going very good, I think the key is we give each other space. I allow her to do all the work she wants to do and she lets me do what I want to do. We are supporting each other 100 percent.'
